I’ve been running PMS for years with relatively no issues. Upgraded FreeNAS to 11.2 from 9.10 and had to reinstall PMS in iocage. Had some issues getting PMS installed but finally got it running in the new iocage jail (I think). I used the pkg install process not the plugin installation because the plugin wasn’t working properly.
Suffice to say, I’m trying to connect to my new PMS using http://:32400 and it takes me to the PIN screen to login and essentially redirects me to my 1st PMS. It doesn’t see the new server and it doesn’t ask me to add it to my PlexPass account. It just takes me to my 1st server.
Is there a way to ensure that you’re logging into the server you intend to? Never had this problem before when I had 2 servers…
The only requirements I know of is that the severs must have different friendly names, different IP addresses, and must have different ports forwarded from your router/gateway to each server. But you said you have run two severs before, so you should already know this…
Have you tried shutting down the old server before trying to access the new one using http://IP address of new server:32400 so you can claim it???
plex.tv Username: “username” plex.tv Password: plex.tv Password Repeated:
IP Address of PMS server: IPAddress
Comparing entered passwords
Comparing entered passwords ok
Validating IP address
Getting PMS Server Identifier
Getting PMS Server Identifier ok
Getting User Token from plex.tv
Getting User Token from plex.tv ok
Getting PMS Claim Token
Getting PMS Claim Token ok
Claiming server Fatal error happened HTTP returned Status 401
Not sure what’s going on… obviously there’s a deeper reason why it’s not showing up.
You’re the man. That solved the issue. I had to plugin my laptop to RJ45 instead of wifi (they’re on different subnets). Ran the script and VIOLA… the new PMS showed up in the list.
