Hi,
I now have two PMS running with a view to transferring everything to my DS1019+ and keeping my older DS415Play for backup purposes. However whenever I try to log in via the web app to set stuff up on the new PMS, the old one immediately becomes ‘unreachable’. The only way to sort it is to stop and start the application via DSM to get everything back again. I thought that I should just be able to see each PMS and choose the one I wanted to use and/or set up?
Oddly even when trying to browse to web app using the IP address of the new NAS (which has the new PMS running) I am asked to sign in and am presented with the options of the ‘Home Users’ I have set up under the old PMS. These were set up for access to the PMS on my DS415Play, as yet I haven’t set up this for the new one, unless I have totally misunderstood the way it works and the ‘Home Users’ are in fact part of my top level Plex account sign in?
Either way something odd is going on and it’s almost as if there is a clash between the two PMS that are running. I was initially presented with a request to ‘claim’ the new PMS (which I did) and again immediately afterwards, the original one became ‘unreachable’.
Eventually I will only have the single PMS running however I need to keep the existing one going while I set everything up and copy across media etc which is going to take some time. When I set up my DS415Play 3 yeas back and transferred stuff from an older DS111, I don’t recall having any problems such as this hence I am rather confused!
