Creating a music playlist by genre still too broad

I have my music library set to use the tags that I’ve edited myself, and am attempting to create a playlist for all those that I have tagged (in this instance) in the genre field as “Christmas”. Files were auto-added, but instead of only adding individual files with a genre of “Christmas”, it added every file I have from that same album artist, even those that aren’t tagged as “Christmas”. For example, I have one track in my library by The Hold Steady that’s tagged as Christmas. But all ~200 tracks I have (the rest obviously with a different genre) were added to this playlist, because it somehow recognizes that I’ve got “Christmas” as a valid genre tag for the band. It appears this way both in my browser (Chrome on Windows) and on the Android app.

All that said, are there specific settings I need to have in Plex to keep this from happening, so that I can automatically create a playlist based on a genre or multiple genres and have only the individual tracks with the specified tags added? Failing that, is there a way to select large chunks of the playlist so that I delete whole albums (or more) that I don’t want at a single time, akin to using Shift or Ctrl+Shift in Windows Explorer? The only option I see in “Edit” for the playlist are to change the name and add a summary. Or am I stuck with either deleting every individual track I don’t want or simply manually creating a new playlist from scratch?

Thanks for any assistance.

Not sure if it matters:
