What I am trying to do is create a Sub movie/TV folder under a category - example: I have a category called War Movies - What I want to do is create another folder under War movies for Band of brother episodes… I want to do this without flooding my War movies folder with every episode of BoB… How can I go about that without creating a totally new category on the main menu
Plex doesn’t support subsections within libraries. In this particular case, you’re also trying to mix TV episodes with movies, which won’t work either.
You can mix movies and TV shows in a playlist.
He’ll still have to have separate Movie and TV libraries. He’s trying to avoid that, and Plex just can’t do that.
Understand. Thought maybe a playlist might be an acceptable workaround.
Have a playlist with the war movies then add the episodes of Band of Brothers.
Not physically organized as desired, but you still see a list of the desired content.

How do you create the War Collection? Right now I have a folder with War Movies, Do I put BoB on the TV section and tag it as War? If so how does one go about that?
just add a the same tag to all of them. Yes leave BoB in the tv library just give it the same collection tag

You can also select / edit multiple movies time. Select desired movies, click on pencil to edit (to the far right of “Deselect All”), then add desired Collection name.

Geez I hate asking all these questions… so when I go into particular file and click the pencil I do not have the options you are showing under tags. - all I see is Writers and Directors and no way to add a field… I am sorry folks for being such a nube
Edit the show as a whole, not the individual episodes
