So I have my library for TV-Shows at */TV-Shows and I am usually adding shows like that:
*/TV-Shows/Arrow/Season 1/Arrow - S01E01.mp4
*/TV-Shows/Flash/Season 1/Flash - S01E01.mp4
Nothing special so far. But now what I would like to do is creating a folder named Arrowverse where I put Arrow and Flash in it. Like this:
Well, I suppose you can create a new TV library and add arrow and flash in it. Call the new library âArrowverseâ but it will always have 2 shows in it. they will never merge into one. Are you trying to âlink-upâ crossover episodes?
Alright apparently itâs simply not possible what I was trying to do. I will create a suggested feature. Just wanted to sort my folders too, nothing more. But still thank you both.
Okay. You CAN add these two but you will have to add the paths separately.
Small modification to your paths.
*/TV-Shows/Arrowverse/Arrow/Arrow/Season 1/Arrow - S01E01mp4
*/TV-Shows/Arrowverse/Flash/Flash/Season 1/Flash - S01E01.mp4
Then add path */TV-Shows/Arrowverse/Arrow/ and */TV-Shows/Arrowverse/Flash/Flash/ to your library. But again, you will still have 2 series in the library. the same as if you just added path */TV-Shows/Arrowverse/
I have a Super-Heroes folder and a TV shows folder. My TV library points to both folders. I also have a Super Heroes TV library. It just points tot the Super-Heroes folder. where those series are placed.
The result is I can find Arrow and the Flash in either library, or just the Super-Heroes series in the other. I also disable the âShow in On Deckâ option for the super-heroes library so I donât get duplicates in Recently added, Continue watching, etc.
Maybe thatâs close to what youâre looking for?
Just to have my folders sorted. I have multiple shows in â*/TV-Showsâ. I just wanted to have a folder for shows in the Arrowverse in my TV-Shows folder.
Yeah I just donât get why it is that way. Why is a show not added by the filename instead of the folder name? With movies I donât have the same problems. There I create a folder for each cinematic universe and genre.
I think itâs just the way Plex ensures it groups the episodes for a show together. The Movies work because they are, by nature, single files (even a sequel is a stand-alone movie). For TV shows, to ensure all the seasons and the specials, with all their different episodes (and therefore files), get grouped together is to aggressively combine things under the top level folder into a single show.
