Curious about Plex connecting to feedbackstorage.blob.core.chinacloudapi.cn

Just curious why Plex might connect to

feedbackstorage.blob.core.chinacloudapi.cn

I’m a newbie here. Sorry if this doesn’t fit.

You’re going to have to be a lot more specific. E.g. where are you seeing this? Is this a server or a client?

Plex Server Version 4.147.1

This was found on my Hegazi DNS block list GitHub - hagezi/dns-blocklists: DNS-Blocklists: For a better internet - keep the internet clean!

That’s the web client version.

I still don’t know what you’re seeing, the fact that this domain exists on a block list doesn’t give me any more information than before.

The domain mentioned was pinged while I was listening to local content while using the Plex app

Yes, 4.147.1 is the web version, if you scroll down below to where your server name is and click general it will give you the server version.

An internet search shows your feedbackstorage.blob.core.chinacloudapi.cn is related to Microsoft Azure. what is feedbackstorage.blob.core.chinacloudapi.cn at DuckDuckGo

Version 1.42.2.10156

I’m more curious than anything. it’s blocked, and I am not seeing any issues. I just found it kind of odd, but if this is not out of the ordinary, I think we can move on. Thanks again for the clarification.
