My hard drive crashed on my Mac running High Sierra. Replaced the hard drive and tried to reinstall a fresh version of Plex Server. Downloaded 1.29.2.6364 universal installer from the Plex site. Gave an error message of “Can’t connect to the media server.” Fast forward half a day of trying different things and reading forums for help, just decided to try a previous version of the installer and it worked like a charm.
