Ive been looking for the answer to this for weeks and still cant find it. How come plex doesnt play current movie trailers all the time. For example it played “Remember the Titans” movie trailer the other day. Some of the trailers are new movies though. I dont have the setting checked to play cinema trailers from movies in my library.
Movie trailers like all professionally made content are owned by someone and have copyright so we are not going to get every trailer out there as our trailer provider might not have rights to them.
ok so if it cant pull lets say 5 movies that are current, then it will grab older ones that may still be in there?
Basically yeah. It does try to give a trailer based on the genres and ratings of the movie you selected to watch. So there is not a trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre if the kids are watching the Jungle Book
