Hi folks, the most recent/previous update have stopped casting from working. I can get a pop-up that says that casting won’t work unless directly connected (or similar words). My settings no longer work (I require remote connection) but to get media to play I think I have to tick manual connection. Perhaps settings have changed and I need to change mine?
To help you to help me, I use Plexamp for remote access over 4g (and local access generally cast to audio chromecast) for music. I also use Plex on several devices for films and music and TV (pretty much exclusively local access).
It seems to be fairly common when Plex updates twice over the course of a couple of days that things get broken.

Hi again, quick update, despite having upnp, I had to set up manual port forwarding and that has fixed the access to media seemingly. Unfortunately I am shut down for the night now so can’t test casting. I will try and test casting early tomorrow and I will check remote access as soon as I can and update.

AM update; No casting at all, Plexamp has a red pop-up that says it can’t connect (or similar). Plex android app fails to connect the first time, on second attempt it thinks it’s connected and shows cast as normal but sound comes out of my device still instead of where I am casting. I haven’t checked remote yet, will check this in a bit. Can anybody cast at all?

Update; I’ve just had an email from Google saying that they are having issues with certain Chromecast devices… It seems possible that this is not a Plex issue? I will keep updating.
