I also am having the same problem. Its like no one logging in and watching anything, but they are.
Sorry for my slow reply, but at least it’s not just me. Sure wish I could fix this. Been going on for a long time and nobody at Plex seems to care enough to do anything about it.

No it’s not for one particular person. Some people work fine and then have this occur and may work fine later. It happens to multiple people and not to others, but the others are not excluded. It may happen to them later (and does). Been going on for years on my system and I’ve seen others with the same problem reporting for years also.
What OS are you running the server on? Windows, MacOS? PMS folder in default location?
It’s running on Windows 10
Presently affecting 3 of the 5 people who have used it in the past 7 days.
possible to get your server logs right after one of the affected folks watch something. Do you know which client they are using?
I could call them and ask I suppose, but since it shows nothing played, I can’t look at the dashboard and see what they used. I would guess from what I know of them, they are using an apple utility.
OK, I would also ask them if things they are watching are getting marked as played or partially played in their client.
Not exactly sure where to tell them to look.
I don’t know what client they use but does the orange triangle go away un upper right corner or does the green check mark show up

You can message me your server logs and I see if I see any errors writing to DB where watched info should be stored.
