Question: When playing a movie on a TV from a local PLEX server, Home local network, does the data stream go thru my internet provider? In other words does the data from my PLEX computer server to my TV count against my IP data allotment ?
No. It “should” not and I have heard of no reports that is does.
Elijah, Thanks for the fast response. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before asking but you are exactly right. I just pulled the power to the modem and my PLEX still was streaming to the TV.
