Yeah, this is pretty annoying. All my Jeopardy recordings have dates that match Sun…Thu showings rather than Mon…Fri. Thus, it always looks like there is a missing recording for the newest episode.

Problem is still occurring here as well on a synology 918+ setup. Hope someone is looking into it at Plex. Also there is no metadata for most recorded shows and just shows up as an episode number or date.

We are aware of the problem and working on a fix.

I’m having same issues with the DVR Recordings showing in the META data as being a day before it was actually recorded. I’m finding though that if I do a REFRESH METADATA to the recorded show it corrects the date. I think this is some sort of META Data issue that is being captured at time of recordi…

Apparently this was also causing problems with the garbage collector. I had something set to delete items older than 30 days, or something like that, and when Plex thinks the item was from 1/1, it would immediately delete after recording.

Things have gotten way worse now. I’m seeing most things with seeminly random dates in 2036 now. I can at least manually edit the date and have it stick (it was discarding a manually set date for a while there), but having to edit the date for everything that comes in isn’t something I want to do.

Are you running 1.27.0? This is the fix for the issue. (Metadata) Episodes could get incorrect dates set on them with “Prefer local metadata” enabled (#13580)

@anon18523487 thanks for addressing this issue! However, it didn’t fix it for me. I’m currently running PMS 1.27.0.5849 on Windows 10. I still see wrong date in the recordings, 1 day into the future, so a recording for today 6/3/2022 will show 6/4/2022 for the date, just like my original report. …

Where is the “Prefer local metadata” setting? Are you referring to the Agents->Local Media Assets? I don’t see anything called “Prefer local metadata” in the settings.

I was hopeful that Plex Media Server - #504 by drzoidberg33 would have addressed and fixed this issue based on the fixes listed, but it appears it didn’t fix anything for this issue unless there’s some sequence to perform beyond refreshing the guide data to get it working. Anyone get this resolved with this latest version?
