Is there a way to have PlexConnect to automatically pick a preferred default audio language? I have a shared library that I now use but most of the files are set for a different language. If there could be a way for plexconnect to know to pick English as default it would be great so I don’t have to always select English in audio/subs for each playback item I choose. I have pms set to automatically use English under languages but when i goto audio/subs the choices are unknown for English and German so i don’t think pms can detect the languages to switch it.
I don't think you can as you are on a shared library. The preferred language is set on the server by the owner of the Plex Media Server.
So is there still no way to code PlexConnect to use the default language of your choice even if it’s set differently on a remote PMS? This way most of the time if PlexConnect detects there is a audio track in say English for example it will play your preferred language automagically. It would be nice to just have a toggle like switching library views but choosing your preferred audio language when possible if the content is providing the proper language in its title of language choices.
I just finished going thru 18 shared libraries and found 2 dead servers (or disconnected device(s) from PMS) and another on a ancient version of PMS that was plaguing my shared library tab and was hoping now that this is working right the language could be automated a bit better to auto pick my language if possible/desired.

I have problems with the language selection too.
I have a tv series, which has multiple ac3 audio tracks. (english, german, ...). On the aTV, it always preselects english instead of german and I have to select german manually before playing the episode.
The Home Theater Client selects the german language as expected (preffered Language in PMS).
What can be done, to make PlexConnect beave in the same fashion?
Here are the specifics of my setup
PMS: 0.9.12.2
PlexConnect: 05-10 on Synology NAS
The tv episodes are .mkv files, where English happens to be the first audio track in the files.
