Deleting a movie leaves an entry in the library

Hi All :slight_smile:

Long time plex user here and today a ‘feature’ downed on me.
Is there a way to delete a movie from the disk, but still leave an entry in plex.
The reasoning for this is, that i’m running out of space and would like to free some up, but i would still like to know what I have watched, instead of downloading the same movie in 2 years just to watch it again.

Yes, if you don’t empty the trash.

Settings - Server - Library - ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’ ← OFF

But still, this is a workaround which is not very satisfying, IMHO.
