So many missing channels.
Living in zip 4300 - Have Stofa Cable TV.
Here is the list with all channels.

At the moment it is appearing that way - the channels are not currently supported.
This is a farce! How can Plex change from something that works decent to something that doesn’t work at all! Haven’t Plex done any due diligence before making these changes? Please enlighten me in what process you have been through and why neglecting a whole country is OK? Are Plex doing anything about this, looking at other solutions to solve this?
@sa2000 please let one of your colleagues with some more stars and stripes on their shoulders answer these questions.
Just look at what Plex wrote 8th of January 2021 (almost 8 month ago!)
we are confident that it will make for a much richer, dependable and easier TV experience for all. Sigh…

I must agree with you this is so frustrating. If it helps, Denmark is not the only country facing these issues. Here in Finland we have lost guide data for one of the biggest TV broadcasters and after 6 months we got the same message from Gracenote that @sa2000 provided you (Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for - #1116 by sa2000).
I really do hope that someone at Plex does recognize that this is a major issue and that this should be fixed asap.
Not supported?
So you make it worse and call it a upgrade… Not impressed.
I have escalated the issue with cable lineups for Denmark and Finland
Thanks. Do we have an estimated time for the fix being implemented by Gracenote?
It’s been a while now.
Any news on the “escalation” - it’s been two weeks now (not counting when the issue started).
Thanks.
Sorry - I have no further info on this
Since I’ll bet my entire life savings on the fact, that this will continue to plague users around the world, and always be in some “state of caos” -
How about PLEX prioritized a small addition to the LiveTV/DVR feature:
1: Let’s us assign a specific dummy/empty EPG to channels without proper EPG
2: Allow us to create manual recordings (setting channel, start time and end time)?
How that is not a feature yet, is just beyond me……
Dummy-EPG would be perfect as a workaround
Yeah, I’m using that now, But I still need the fabled “manual recording feature” plex refuses to make. (Still Have a few channels that has No EPG)
I managed set up scraper and XML EPG provider for missing Finnish channels, however it seems that it is not possible to use both Gracenote EPG and XML EPG at the same time - which would be the second best option, if it is not possible for Plex to have any saying what Gracenote provides or not.
This is my EPG as of today. (did a new setup of the tuner) Still a lot of channels missing but what has also changed over the last couple of weeks is that CNN EPG now shows “Channel No Longer Available”. It’s definitely not feeling like progress. Can I open a case directly with Gracenote?
Try this link: Contact Us Form - Video - Gracenote
Or this link: https://www.gracenote.com/company/support/video-support/
I wrote PLEX as Company in the form
did it work? were you able to get a response from them?
No havent heard anything yet…
While we wait on Plex and Gracenote… for the fellow danish users who would like a usable alternative solution. You can check out the xmltv meetv.dk grapper made by Klaus Madsen. meetv.dk includes all the danish channels (as far as I can tell), and the tv-guide data is quite good.
I have created a docker container that I use to update the xmltv data. You can check it out here: https://github.com/kibuan/xmltv_docker. The xmltv_docker solution can run all xmltv grappers, so it’s not exclusive to meetv.dk.
Personally I use EPG for IPTV It’s not free but it has epg data for regional and radio channels
@sa2000
You escalated this August 3. It’s now September 7.
What have Plex done since August 3?
What is the current status?
What does escalated the issue means from your end?
Who has the ball? What are Plex doing to mitigate this until Gracenote are getting their act together and collect the EPG data for the missing channels?
Word of advice - Please give us some information instead of just staying quite. At least a weekly update on the issue would suffice.
Again I feel neglected on this issue. Communication and honesty is key and right now nothing happens and feel right.
