You don’t want those on the mount command I don’t think they will do anything there, just in your copy/move command
removing now
all mounts appear to be stable… we’ll see how this thing handles scanning my cartoons, tv shoes and movie libraries.
This all depends on this issue not hitting me, but I’m curling the index.html for codes and logging non-200 to file.
Haha yep. Kellinger is the other who actually had a lot of input on the Gooby script I ran on my dedi.
Sadly there was an emphasis on deluge as the client and although rutorrent was an option it was pretty bare bones with no access to plugins. (I know sod all about docker beyond the confines of the script that installed it)
So I decided to give Bytesized a go again. My forgetfulness of VFS mode has meant its taken around 24 hours to add around a hundred current running shows. Its now adding my 250ish archived shows and it looks like it will be finished by the morning.
Bottom line is its a fallback server. I share it but dont use it personally other than for my 4K HDR remuxes for which I use it extensively.
As it happens Im not too bad for upload here. I’m in a BT FTTH area and get 340/50…at a price lol.
haha, no BT FTTH here, although at least VirginMedia increased the upload speed recently, so now I get around 380/40 off that, so maybe not so bad. But still not the upload bandwidth of my dedi ![]()
I would be a little bit patient, as from the screenshot it’s still scanning.
Yeah Im still trying to teach my users that just because they live a mile from me, using the Amsterdam server is a far better option.
Sorry I missed your post. As mentioned it will find all the files first, then add metadata and then finally analyze the files. Don’t panic.
Its just the way Plex does it…unlike Emby.
And my nas does not support hardware transcoding, so I can’t share that as getting users to direct play can be hard work…
Yeah fortunately my local server does and it clearly does a decent job.
When they do use the remote server I see them direct playing. But seemingly they have no complaints with the stream quality when they (usually) transcode from mine.
@Duvrazh hows the api looking?
Errors appear to be spiking a bit but - not enough data yet.
It’s not helping that I think my UI has hung again. I am running
#!/bin/bash
while true
do
STATUS=$(curl -s -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code}' 127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html)
if [ $STATUS -ne 200 ]; then
echo -e $(date) $STATUS >> /root/code.log
fi
sleep 15
done
on a loop to check … but even hung it’s timing out and not generating an HTTP response code. So I still have to figure out WTF is wrong with the UI itself.
Yeah sorry. I would have no idea.
If you have added a lot of files then it could just be that plex is too busy processing those files to be able to serve up the web interface.
If you taill all your log files you may see lot’s of processing still going even if the web app shows it has finished.
What format are your files in, mp4 or mkv?
