So I live just across from the US. However, when punching in my postal code, I’m missing a lot of EPG data for US channels. If I use a US zipcode I get most EPG data, but missing some Canadian channels.
Is there a work around to get both working?

Did you try different postal codes from your OTA market? Try one that is very close to the US border. I had this problem with a Channel master DVR+. My postal code did not bring up all the US channels in the guide. If I used an US zip code, I did not get all the canadian channels.
I was able to fix this by using a different postal code. However, Channel master uses Rovi not Gracenote. But it worth the shot.
I can’t right now try the Plex DVR feature, I don’t have a compatible tuner. However, I have a HDhomerun in order. I will see if I get this issue too in few weeks.
I received my HDhomerun connect yesterday and setup PlexDVR on my nvidia Shield Pro. I run into the same issue. My postal code was providing data guide only for canadian channels.
After I tried several postal codes (around 8 different) I finally found one that provided data guide on all channels. It was one that is half way between my main OTA market and the US OTA market.
