Detecting Intros Stuck

I’ve noticed for the last several months that my “Detecting Intros” process just keeps running trying to detect the intros on the same show. It has run for hours on a show. I’ve had to turn off Intro detection and reboot Plex to get it to stop.

I just left that feature off for a few months and decided to revisit it today (17 Oct 2021) and it’s still broken.

In searching for this issue in the forums and on the Web in general, I’ve found a lot of mentions about it, but no solutions. I’ve also searched my logs but I can’t find any errors that appear to be relevant.

Anyone else having this issue that can point me in the right direction?

Here’s what I have done:

1. Enabled Detecting Intros
2. Shut down Plex and cleared logs
3. Restarted Plex 6:57Local
4. Added a season of Impossible Engineering to Plex 7:01L
5. Plex started both “Detecting Intros” and “Creating Video Thumbnails” 7:01L
6. Plex Finsihed Thumbnail creation. 7:06L
7. "Detecting Intros was still running when I captured Logs at 7:53L

I also captured an image of the spinning “Detecting Intros” And screensots of my Alert pages if it helps.
