Sorry if I’m asking the obvious, but… I can’t be the only person with HDHomeRun Prime and Connect, one connected to digital cable, and the other to antenna?
I don’t see a way to assign different channel lineups to different tuner devices. The lineup is set once at the DVR level, not at the tuner device level. I’ve set my DVR up to use the ‘Comcast Digital’ lineup for my area, and mapped those channels that are common to Cable & Broadcast, but the point of adding a HDHomeRun Connect tuner was to record the channels that are not carried by my cable company…
The DVR has only one EPG as you have discovered which is chosen when setting up the first device. If you are running different device types (cable versus OTA) that configuration is not supported by Plex. I am running a Prime connected to my cable provider for just local channels. I also have 2 Connects, an Extend, and a Dual connected to an antenna. My DVR is setup using OTA instead of cable. Luckily my cable company broadcasts the local channels on the same channel numbers as OTA so for me 10.1 OTA matches to the same 10.1 channel the cable company is broadcasting it on. At this point it is not possible from the User Interface to add multiple DVR’s, hopefully this will be a feature in the future for those that are maintaining cable and using OTA but at this time it is not a supported configuration.
I would also like this, as I own both an HDHomerun Prime and an old-school DUAL. It probably won’t stop me from migrating over from MythTV once the grid guide feature arrives, but it would be nice to keep my OTA stuff.
