Trying to setup my HDHomeRun Prime with Plex LiveTV & DVR. I have Plex Pass, but when it comes to setting up the HRHomeRun Prime, I get no cable guide.
I was able to setup my HDHomeRun Connect with guides, but not with HDHomeRun Prime.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Each Plex Media Server when setting up a DVR allows for a single EPG source either cable or OTA. Once the first device is added to a DVR and assigned a guide source all other devices added will use the same guide configured for the DVR. Can I add more than one DVR tuner?
Multiple tuners can be added from within the Plex Web app, provided you are using version 2.10.5 or newer. Tuners should be of the same type; all OTA or all cable, on the same Plex Media Server

I have 1 HDHomeRun Prime for Cable.
How does one set this up? I do not want to use my HRHomeRun Prime for OTA channels, but only my HRHomeRun Connect for OTA.

You can’t, currently. The Plex EPG allows for only one type of tuner to be used at a time (cable, OTA, but not both).
For what it’s worth, I use Plex DVR with my 2 HDHomeRun Connect tuners, and then run a VM on my server with Windows Media Center for use with my HDHomeRun Prime. I use it not only for recording from cable-only channels, but also as a backup DVR for other content recorded by Plex, since Plex still has reliability issues.
It’s not entirely straightforward setting up WMC for use with a cable card in a VM, but it is doable.
Thank you! Your advice has saved me hour in trying to figure this out. I went with HDHomerRun Prime as the tuner(s). Very disappointed, since WMC has the ability to do all the tuners and so does Emby.
I wonder if Emby is a better choice for DVR and multi-tuners.

Emby is a better choice if using HDHomeRun tuners period as it can use multiple types also share tuners with other APPs … you are required to provide guide data to EMBY for example a subscription to Schedules Direct.
