Different Edit Boxes show different Metadata

Server Version#: 1.16.6.1592
Player Version#: n/a

I’ve just noticed an issue with my Plex server, not present a few weeks ago. My Plex server has been installed for over 2 years, updated periodically, and contains approx. 5000 Movies… Previously no issues.

If I use the Edit ‘pencil’ option on a film listed on the Home page, in the “Recently Added Movies” category, I can see the various Metadata fields populated with info.
However, for over 90 films (some recently added, others very old) if I use the Edit option on the same film while in “Movies” - the Metadata appears blank.

Sorting within the Movie list view shows many entries with blank Year, Content Rating and Duration
Filtering by content rating ‘None’ also brings up the same 90+ films
For any film that I can access via the Home page directly, or via Search the details are populated - but if I try to open it from within the Movies section, the details are blank

I have tried this on various web browsers, on various machines, sometimes within Incognito/stealth mode, - but always with the same result.
I have tested moving a movie out of the library, watching it disappear from within Plex, and then re-adding it - but no change, the behaviour is the same.

I have shut down and restarted Plex.

Help!
Many thanks

Hey now, when you want to have Plex reconstruct everything it knows
about a particular film as if it never saw it, you do The Plex Dance ™

When metadata issues result in strange behavior, it can be time to
gather PMS logs in debug mode to see what if there are any major issues.

good luck!

Yes, they’re all back. Fixed.
Many thanks

For reference to others I did the following:

Logged is as an Administrator User via Web Client
Settings, Manage Libraries.
In the RH Pane, hover mouse over Movies.
Click on triple dots on RHS, choose Empty Trash (let it complete)

Then from within Manage Troubleshooting
Choose Clean Bundles (let it complete)
Choose Optimize Database (let it complete)
That’s it!

Click on Home Icon, try viewing Movie with problematic Metadata (from both Home view, and from within Movies section). It worked for me.

Cheers
Steve
