Metadata cannot refresh unable to automatch/connect agent

Plex Server: Version 1.18.4.2171
Synology: DS1019+

Everything working with 900 movies matched until yesterday. Adding movies to folder with no metadata.

Tried the following but unable to resolve. Movies ext .mkv

Removed missing metadata movie
Cleared /var/lib/plex/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Caches
Scan Library Files
Emptied Trash
Re-added movie

Hoping that it may fixed itself as some have reported. But is there a reason why this happens?

Sounds like we’re in the same boat. I have about 500 movies, pretty much all of which had their metadata update correctly and without issue, up until about 1 week ago. I loaded 5 new movies the same way I always do, but the metadata won’t load correctly and the 2 movie flavors of each film (mkv and mp4) also don’t match correctly.

Like you, I also tried the “plex dance” of moving the files, emptying the trash, etc., to no avail.

Plex Support folks - any ideas?

If you both will verify you have DEBUG logging enabled and VERBOSE logging disabled,

  1. Force Refresh the metadata for a small section
    -or-
  2. Plex Dance some specific problematic files.

When done,

  1. Download the logs and attach the ZIP
  2. With that, please share for me the exact filename as it exists
  3. Also attach the output of mediainfo _filename_

Hi. Is there a way to private message you? It seems a bit odd for me to post my Plex logs for the world to see. I’m assuming there’s another way. I tried to PM you but it said you weren’t accepting private messages. What am I missing?

I think I have my logs and info ready to send. Thanks.
