I have 30+ movies added that are all named ‘BONE’ as the sort title, and title. The movie description is correct for the movie, the actors and actresses are correct. If I manually correct the titles, then do the Fix Match option, it goes back to BONE as the name. I have removed the files, scanned library files, then added back and re-scanned. It continues on the same 30+ movies. Even renaming the movies and doing a match to those it will rename any movie on those 30+ to BONE. It’s like the scanner agent is pointing to some messed up files.
I am using the Plex Movie scanner and Plex Movie agent.
Do you have Manage Library > Edit > Advanced > Prefer local metadata enabled? ‘BONE’ could be the title embedded into the file that Plex is picking up. If that’s the case, you’ll have to either disable ‘Prefer local metadata’, or clear the embedded metadata from the files.
I did have that checked. I unchecked it, and after re-scan and fix matches again I still see BONE. I did see that the metadata of the file had that. I wrote a python script to rename it all based off of the file name. It’s resolved now, thanks.
