So I have a movie which has given me a problem I’ve never encountered before despite despite that I’ve had at least 600 movies and a lot of series.
On my Shield TV I have perfect sound but the image is frozen. When I jump forward in the movie it generates the correct frame but that’s it. Sound is still ok but the picture is frozen.
According to the dashboard it direct steams both video and sound.
On firefox web the video works perfectly but the sound stutters a lot. It’s like you only hear a fraction of a second long snippets of the sound, several times per second.
Video is direct stream but sound is transcoded to aac from eac3 5.1
On Plex on my iPhone both sound and video works fine.
It direct plays both sound and video.
So the movie works on one device and it fails in two different ways on two other devices.
Can anyone pinpoint the problem? Is there an easy fix?

Player version: Latest on Shield (updated yesterday), my phone just died so I can’t check but it’s the latest or second to latest.

Edit: Maybe I should say that the file plays fine on my pc and mac using vlc.
