Different Volumes

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Player Version#: 3.69.0

Hello,

I have started using the plex media player just to use the direct stream and no transcoding through the web, but I have get into a point that on the web the volume is quite high if I set it up to 100% in my pc, wheter I am transcoding or not. But on the other hand with plex media player it seems like some transcoding options are setting the volume higher than other ones, and with the option I was interested which is direct stream, by selecting the original quality, the sound is quite quite low, can someone explain me why is this happening or if someone can fix this “bug”.

Kind regards

Hello,

Guys any help on this? It is really annoying to watch films without being able to hear them.

Kind regards

Let’s check out your audio settings in Plex Media Player.
Settings > Audio > Normalize Downmixed Volume

There’s a support article/guide explaining audio configuration with Plex Media Player:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/212072167-audio-configuration-guide-plex-media-player/

Hello,

I already checked that guide, and I have rechecked it again, and the problem is that option does not appear in the main plex media player, you have to change to TV mode to find it, after dissabling that option, it seems that the sound is working fine now.

Kind regards

Hello,

It also seems that the voice channel continues lower than the other ones, so I have to continue lowering volume when music and effects are being played and highing it when people is talking.
This has been like this a while already, no one more is having this problem?
I know that this is because of converting 5 channels into 2, but it can not be so difficult if other local programs like VLC are not having any issues with it.

Kind regards
