If the video has a 100 Mbit/s average bitrate, your friend’s home network needs a 100 Mbit/s+ internet upload speed (probably more like 120-150 Mbit/s to deal with the max bitrate peaks).
If his upload speed isn’t up to that… no direct play of that video for you
keep in mind you’re dealing with super high bandwidth on both ends when it comes to those streams. it’s one thing to have that committed by an ISP as upload/download speed for a port… there’s no guarantee you get that for the entire connection. companies are paying big money for committed e2e connections between 2 sites at significantly lower transfer rates.
