I really wish Plex would add some extremely simple IP-based restrictions for access (allowing users to only access from specific locations).

But is there a way to limit what app/devices can access the plex server? I only want the desktop Media Player to work but that doesn’t seem to be an option.

It’s like Plex goes out of their way to make this as accessible as possible. Having a little more control would be fantastic.

I like that idea. It be nice if you can restrict devices in the Authorized Devices section. While I know some devices require a LINK code to grant access, they also allow you to login with username/email and password.
