Is it possible to disable the casting option through Plex server? Currently, any device on the network can cast to any of the other devices. There is no requirement for the devices to trust each other. This is causing us problems.
As far as I know, this can only be controlled on the client itself. For most (all?) clients there is a setting named “Advertise as Player.” It’s located in different places, depending on the client. On my Android tablet, it’s under Settings -> Sharing -> Advertise as Player. On my iOS devices, it’s under Settings -> Remote Control -> Advertise as Player. Disabling this setting disallows casting to the device (though it may still show as a target in on the casting device for a while).

There is not a global setting on the server.
Would it be possible to develop a custom plugin to do this? I personally think this should be something that is managed through the management console rather than the client itself.
Would there be a way to lock the setting so that the client would not be able to change the option again?
