Player Version#: 6.4.8.6145-8164e1910-Plex
A recent update, I’m not sure if it was on the server side or the player side, all of a sudden enabled user management from the main Plex app screen, where you select which user you want to sign in as. I absolutely do not want this, but I cannot find it anywhere in the settings on my PC or in the server. If I setup restrictions for users, I do not want them to just go in and easily remove them or modify them from the player itself. How can this be removed from all players? There has to be a way to restrict it, otherwise making and managing users is pointless.
This should only be available to the admin of your Plex Home. Other users will only be able to access it if you haven’t set a PIN to that account.
Within a Plex Home, technically all managed users share your Plex Account and should therefore all have their own PIN — at least the admin account (for the exact reason that otherwise every home user could change their own restrictions (same in Plex Web)
I did not have a PIN on the master account. I did set one and I just created another account to use in its place, since I was using that as one of the users to watch movies before. Logging on to the Roku Plex app, as soon as it launches, loads the user selection screen, and it still shows the edit button below each user to manage them.
