Discover Credits not showing my media libraries. When i select an actor, i get “Movies and shows on plex”, “Known for”, and “filmography”. When i first click on an actor, i can see it trying to load “Movies & Shows in Media Libraries”, but then just loads what i posted above. As far as troubleshooting goes, I have:
Rebooted the server
Made sure “Include Adult libraries” is unchecked for my libraries
The metadata agent was upgraded long ago, so no option to upgrade libraries when i select a library…
I am at a loss on what is causing this. Any assistance would be most appreciated.
Start with one item (Movie or Show). Refresh the metadata of this item. Check that an actor from the item now shows up in the Credits page. There have been other users with what sounds like a similar issue. We do mention that this can happen in the last part of the FAQ section of the support article.
I refreshed the metadata for my two main libraries after i posted this, and still had almost the same issue. I checked a few actors, and on some, it was still the same as above, and on others, it did show the “My media libraries” section, but that section didnt show my actual library, just another server i was invited too. It seems extremely weird.
The library must use either the “Plex Movie” or the “Plex TV Series” agent. Any other agents will not work.
If the library has been converted from one of the older agents, you must “Refresh Metadata” of the whole library and let it run to completion.
The option “Include adult content” in the properties of all libraries must not be active.
The libraries must not be excluded from global search.

Test was selecting the movie “Spirited” and clicking Will Ferrell.
It still only shows my friends library, and not mine. So it’s improved from not showing any media libraries, and only “On plex” and “Known for”, to both of those, and a library that isnt mine.
Now that you have Web Debugging enabled, can you please go to Spirited on your PMS and select an Actor from the cast.
Does Spirit show up with your PMS as a source in the selected Actors credits page? If your PMS does not show then please return to Spirited on your PMS and Refresh Metadata. Wait for a bit and try the same steps again.
Download your PMS logs and share them along with your Web Debug logs afterwards.
I’m experiencing the same issue and also comply with the requirements. Is not working on the web, Android mobile nor Android TV clients. None.
Also, I find this requirement unexplainable, can you please elaborate why managed users cannot use this feature?
Thanks.
