Discovery (beta) crashes plex for windows

The latest “discovery” or “streaming” thing (I don’t even have a chance to see what it is because it immediately crashes the player) cause the windows plex player and web player to “crash” and returns a “Something went wrong” message.

Nothing except F5 refresh works in this state, after refreshing it shows the homescreen briefly and quickly returns to the crash screen again.

How do I disable it because it completely make the app unusable.

I was playing around with it this morning. If you go into your settings on the left side you’ll see a section for streaming services and in there you can select and deselect the online platforms. I had the same error, but if you play around with it, it will load everything correctly. Try closing Plex again and restarting and see if that helps, add some online platforms (amazon etc.) and see if that works.

I am experiencing same issue when accessing Plex from a laptop I use to organize my libraries, irrespective whether I try getting in through the app or via web.

Same here. Unable to use the hosted app anymore.

deleted and installed everything, got same error.

With these issues, I can’t help but to wonder if I should continue to seek instructions on enabling it.

I’m still having the same problem on my Plex app on the Xiaomi MiBox 4S streamer…
