I love that we can now create collections of individual tv episodes BUT there’s still a major limitation. On my TV library screen, if I filter down to “Collection”, I don’t see my Episode Collection listed (if I had a collection of full shows then they DO appear in the list).
This would be really helpful for large collections, so we’d have all the different sorting options that you have on the library screen.
To be fair… in the advanced filter, the current option is already named Show Collection. Let’s hope this is not only to avoid confusion but a first step to also add Season Collection and Episode Collection options).
I suppose unless you want each collection type to be only filterable in the matching display mode, this suggestion can be a bit tricky to implement as you’ll expect the filter to stick if you drill into a show.
Example: your episode collection contains episodes from 2 shows; filtering by that collection while in TV Shows display mode will show the 2 shows, however when opening one of them you’ll expect to see only the episodes (seasons?) that contain episodes from the collection.
In the meantime, Plex has added an option to filter tv-show libraries by episode collections.
This requires a library to be displayed by episodes.
