Is it possible to add the option to display movie playlists in the same way that things like your media hubs/sections/nodes (whatever they’re called in Plex) are displayed?
At the moment, when I look at a movie playlist it just lists the title of each movie and basic info like run time, and then clicking on one just plays it. This type of display is fine for music where you can have loads of tracks, but for movies I want to be able to look at a playlist I’ve created, then see them displayed with larger posters, if I click on it I want it to take me to the actual movie details so I can see the details, watch a trailer, etc, but then move back to the playlist and do the same with others.
I find that using playlists are a good way of creating short lists, watch lists, etc, but currently in Plex it makes them much harder to peruse because it is just like a list of files to play, whereas if it was displayed more as a way of grouping and looking at a selection of movies it would be much more useful. Collections show them this way and favourites kind of does.
Kind of how Kodi displays movie playlists I guess. It would make playlists considerably more useful for movies than it currently is. The current way makes them mostly useless as a way of creating shortlists and quickly perusing them.

Playlist and Collections are different and meant to be used differently. If you want to see them like Collections, you’ll need to create an equivalent collection.
If I want to watch a movie and create a shortlist of, say, 10 movies, I can add them to a playlist, then look back to decide what to watch. In Kodi that playlist can be displayed in the same way as any media hub/node/whatever, so I can easily flick in and out of those movies, watch trailers, etc. I can’t do that in Plex.
Creating a Collection each time I want to make a short list is a convoluted and unuseful way of doing it. It also cannot be done on mobile apps or Android TV, it has to be done on a laptop, etc, so, again, not convenient when you’re sat on the sofa looking for a quick shortlist.
Maybe my mention of collections has confused the issue. I mean so that when I navigate to a movie playlist it displays them in the same way as if I go into all the inidividual hubs in my Plex library.
I’m just asking for it to be added as a feature request. It seems a very reasonable and straight forward request. As I say, Kodi has done it for years and Emby have said they’re intending to do it in a future update.
