Display resolution missing

Hello,

I was wondering where the display resolution disappeared to when you are playing a video and use info/display, it always showed 720p, 1080p, 4K, 4K HDR, etc on the right hand side above the timeline, but now it’s gone. Even when I go into Playback Info, it used to say the DirectPlay h264 4K (which it still does in the Plex Dash app). This is any video I try and they all used to show it but none do anymore. Looked through to see if there are any new settings to turn on and search the forum but can’t find anything.

Running PlexMediaServer-1.22.3.4392-d7c624def-x86_64_DSM6 and 8.16.0.24423 on the shield pro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It disappeared in the Android 8.16 builds. Hopefully a bug/regression that will be rectified in a future release.

Thank you very much. Is there anywhere this should be officially logged or was that already taken care of. Thanks again!

In theory, someone on the Plex team will see the posts and be aware of the issue, whether or not they respond to the thread. There is no formal bug reporting tool for users, just these forums.

Removing the resolution is not listed as something new in the latest product announcement. I’ve noticed one other post on the topic.

Basically, you’ve taken appropriate action - you found an issue and reported it with the tool available to do so (this forum). Next step is for Plex to hopefully fix things or, if intentional, say why the capability was removed.

Okay. Thank you very much for your reply a d help! Have a great day and stay safe!
