Hello, I am very new to Plex and maybe I just don’t fully understand how this works, but so far I haven’t found an answer to my problem.
I have a concert DVD that is separated in 3 discs and I would like to have it displayed as one film in my collection but after clicking on it shown as 3 discs (like a tv show).
My problem is that Plex either merges the files into one film or if I change my library shows it as 3 separate movies.
Is there a way to have it shown as one movie and after clicking on it like a 3 episode show?
I suppose the „ideal“ approach might be to actually merge the 3 videos… in the end this is 1 concert; the split into 3 videos is due to capacity/distribution restrictions.
If you want to keep them as separate items, you should be able to combine them in a collection. This would achieve the „1 main item displayed in the library allowing you to drill down to the 3 individual elements“ approach.
It is actually 3 concerts from the same person at the same place.
With the collection solution the movies will still show up in my Library, is there a way to only show the collection, if so that would be exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Thanks for the help
Thanks to your help I found the solution I’ve been looking for.
There is the option to hide all items of a collection in the library.
(Option is in: Collections → Pencil → Advanced)
