Do I need an account?

Hi, I’m new to Plex and really love the idea. I was wondering if I need a paid account if all I plan to do is access the server from inside my network.
We have a couple of phones and tablets that will be conencting to the media server. Do I need to have a Plex Pass to use the media in this way?

Welcome to the Plex forums…

A PlexPass subscription is not required to view content on your LAN or even remotely.
The mobile plex apps can be purchased for a one time fee (still no plexpass subscription needed)
