If the server owner owner does not have Plex pass, can they manually upload subtitles using the “upload” option on Plex Web?
I searched around but still was not able to conclusively determine this. Thanks in advance for any help.
Does not seem to be limited to Plex Pass members. Looks more like an alternative mode of locally adding a subtitle file.
However I’m not sure the server owner can do that using Plex Web. This feature appears to be only available for iOS and Android clients.
That’s helpful, I have that option specifically in Plex Web but I have Plex Pass so I’m not sure if it’s available to someone in Plex Web that does not have Plex Pass.
AFAIK the server owner should be able to upload subs via plex web
if you are not the server owner, you might ask them to search for ‘sub-zero’ which can help automate subs.
I wanted follow up here in case anyone else ever comes across this thread. You do need Plex Pass in order to manually upload subtitles using the “upload” option on Plex Web. The option to “upload” subtitles on Plex Web will only show up if you have Plex Pass.
