Doctor Who (2005) unmatched Season 14

I had set my Doctor Who (2005) to use TVDB DVD order.

That means the 2023er specials went to season 14 as E01 to E04.
And that worked flawless.

Now I added the “Space babies” episode of the new season (as S14E05 like it was numbered on TVDB), but that didn’t match.
Even worse the whole season 14 now UNMATCHED.

So I checked TVDB again and apparently they now also moved Season 14 to a new 2023 series as Season 1. I could swear it was still listed as Season 14 yesterday.

I don’t like that, but moved and renamed the files accordingly.
Unfortunately the files still don’t match.

Anybody else having these problems?

It means the change is brand new and will take up to 3 days to arrive in the Plex cache servers.

Thanks for this information. That probably explains why the metadata for the series (Doctor Who 2023) is ok, but the metadata for the episodes is completely missing. I will check again after the 3 days.

Still no metadata for the episodes…

Please see my ticket about this as i’ve done a ton of research.

It’s considered a new series.

This series is locked. New artwork may be added.

Please use “DVD Order” in the Seasons tab for sorting the Christmas Specials directly into a season. Disney and BBC have officially structured the 2023/2024 content as a new series, confirmed via the EIDR registration. We are allowing the specials to exist on both series.

Doctor Who (2023)

Change the s014 to s01 and place it in a new Doctor Who (2023) folder

Yes of course. I already wrote that.

After listing it as Season 14 for a long time against all the other metadata providers, TVDB now moved Season 14 also to a new series and thus season 1.

The problem is, that the episodes still don’t get the metadata pulled (TVDB DVD Order).
