Basically, the title says all. I’m interested if the Plex addon for Kodi uses the video player of Kodi or if it brings its own. I had a look at the code on Github, but I’m not quite sure. To me it seems it uses the internal player and does not bring its own, but I would like to hear a confirmation.
Some background information: For some reason my h265 videos crash at some point if I use the Plex for Kodi addon or Kodi directly. If I use the Plex app directly it seems to work. If Plex for Kodi uses the Kodi player, then I know that its actually a problem in Kodi and I might be able to circumvent it. It would also mean my hardware is not broken, which would be nice.
