Yep it does! All the controller buttons map over to the Media Remote buttons (apart from paging between episodes which uses the shoulder buttons, but we have on screen buttons for that now).

Paging between episodes does work on the remote. Use the skip buttons when on the episode page

I have noticed that since the last update (I’m in the Xbox Preview Program) the remote has issues at times. I am assuming this is because of the NXOE.
For instance, before the latest update, when I clicked “Play” on an episode listed in “On Deck,” the episode would start playing. Lately it is hit or miss.
‘Play’ on a poster should definitely playback the item. Are you seeing this frequently?
I have the same issue with the Play button. Since I got the NXOE update it sometimes works in On Deck, but it never works when trying to play an episode from the Show\Season\Episode list.
I have had the remote since it launched. The only app where i have issues with the remote is netflix, which sometimes just wont work with the remote and you have to change to the controller
Plex has worked well including play on a specific episode

I actually never used this but tried it out yesterday on NXOE and pressing the ‘play’ button on a TV or Movie poster on the official remote does absolutely nothing.

I’m on NXOE too - it would never have occurred to me to press the play (which is actually play/pause) button on the remote to play an item. I always use the centre button of the direction buttons to play an item (which is equivalent to the A button on a controller)
‘A’ will take you to the preplay for an item, ‘X’ or ‘Play’ should immediately play back the item - which lets you play back e.g. TV shows from the TV library in continuous mode.
Well hidden, and now seemingly, broken. Will investigate.
Dom - were you able to fix this issue? I want the play button to work when we get continous play (hopefully) in the next update!
