The IR Receiver in my faithful Mac Mini has stopped working, and given I already have an xbox one in the same cabinet it makes more sense to start using that for viewing rather than replacing the mini.
I can’t find a definite answer anywhere on whether or not the official Xbox media remote works with plex? Do the buttons etc all map across successfully?
If anyone has one and can let me know before I go spend money, that would be great. Apologies if I’ve missed an answer somewhere, I checked the plex page and had a google around…
Usin my Xbox One Media Remote has stopped working recently in Plex for Xbox One… it works perfectly everywhere else. Not sure how to report bugs, but this is really starting to bug me!
How did you determine it was a console issue? My media remote has stopped working on Plex for the play/pause, stop, rewind etc buttons - the volume buttons still work and an IR signal is being sent when i press the buttons that aren’t working but i’m not getting a response from them. Any ideas?
@stryka00 Are you on the Xbox One preview version? I’ve noticed that every time MS releases a big new preview version it breaks the play/pause, etc. buttons. A reboot of the Xbox One normally clears it up though for a little while. I normally have to reboot periodically while they’re working out the bugs with the preview version.

Silly but figured it was worth mentioning, I was recently having this problem and it turned out to just be the batteries. Even though the IR was blasting it wasn’t going far enough (it would only work if I had the remote like 2 feet from the xbox). Put in fresh batteries and all was happy again.
