Hello Everyone.
I have been using Plex Media Server with the dedicated Plex Media Player. I encountered some issues with both and uninstalled and reinstalled both on my Mac Mini. I have noticed that Plex Media Player no longer works for me properly, I have been using Media Server to play my files. Am I right in saying that the Plex Media Player is no longer been used? I installed VLC Player but am unsure of how to get it to work with Plex Media Server. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards
Peter
There is no Plex Media Player.
It turned into Plex HTPC. <— you may like that one, but it’s ‘mouse challenged’.
There is another dedicated player app - Plex for Mac.
At the Apps and Devices link at the bottom of this page.
That one looks and works exactly like Plexweb - but it’s NOT Plexweb.
Hi Juice.
Thanks for the information, I clicked on the link below but I can only see Plex for Windows but nothing for Mac?
Peter
hmmmmm…
switch the dropdown to Mac?
Not sure what I could do with it, but I can download 'em…lol
(and whatdoyaknow - they are still calling that PMP in Mac World - Plex for Mac is probably what you want, but you can try both at the same time if you want)
Special location for the HTPC client.
… and that would be the place to get PMP/HTPC.
PMP is going away at some point… for everyone.
Thank you!!
