Does the lifetime plex pass lifetime license ever go on sale? because at $149.99 is a little high
Actually, no, it’s not a little high. It may seem like it, but think on what it costs you to take your wife/GF to a movie and divide. It doesn’t take many trips not taken to the theater to work out to a Pass when you look at it that way.
In the world of SaaS & RERO, I would expect the lifetime pass to go away before it goes on sale, actually.
It used to be $75. Honestly if it weren’t for the news that the price was about to double, I wouldn’t be a Plex user today. I had heard of it but never used it… ended up quickly buying a lifetime pass just in case before I even had a chance to try it out. That lead to me finally testing it and then deploying it in a serious manner.

same experience on my side.
bought it while it was at 75$ days before it doubled
I bought it just before it doubled… more on a whim that it was only £40 (GBP) and I wasn’t bothered if I didn;t end up using it. Turned out to be a great investment.
Even at 150$ (£100), I still think it’s a good buy.
Bought it like everyone else right before it went up.
Got more then enough out of it to consider it good value, and until recently Plex was the only media manager worth consideri g.
If i had to do it again today, i might lean towards Emby more. Plex’s big advantsge is the sheer number of clients supported, but emby offers server settings that i could really use.
Just missed the party, bought it right after it doubled. No regrets.
