What if Plex were to shutdown next week? What would happen to all those Plex Pass Lifetime users? Just a “sorry bud, we can’t do a thing”? I really want to buy lifetime at this price, but I’m not confident enough the company will stay alive for at least more 10 years.
Another possibility would be Plex being bought by some shady company and they put yet another tier of subscription, so Plex Pass holders would not be getting ALL the features anymore, instead they would need to buy the “Cinephile” subscription or something like that…

Exactly that.
I really want to buy lifetime at this price, but I’m not confident enough the company will stay alive for at least more 10 years.
That is just unrealistic.
The current price for a yearly Plex Pass subscription is ~ $39
which means that this Lifetime offer will amortize itself already after 2 years of use.
Everything longer than that is already bonus.
And the chances for Plex Inc surviving for at least another 2 years are not bad at all.

Man you gotta to loosen up! Life is for living now, not living in fear. $75 at 10 years survival… $7.50 per year… bargain! Did you buy a Blackberry or Nokia… just hanging my hat on that 10-year landscape of change
