I am having the same issues. LG C4 What works for me is to switch to “Force Direct Play”. However I am not sure why, it seems to crash/restart itself more often with certain content.

4k Buffering and Crashing on LG WebOS

Tried this MKVToolnix - didn’t work for me. Removed all audio and subtitles except for bare necessary ones. Subtitles ON still force transcode regardless of subtitle setting. Subtitle ON forces transcode to Video → 20Mbps - regardless of whether or not audio is transcoded.
