Double status with 4K content

I have about 5 titles that have both 4k versions plus 1080p versions. When I added the 4k versions of the movies, I put them in a seperate folder and added a new library for it. When I playback the 4k versions, I see the following:

Is this by design? It seems kind of goofy. When choose “Get Info” on the two movies, it will tell me one is 4k and the other is the 1080p file.

This is by design. It allows you to continue watching either the 4K or non-4K version.

yes, but there is no clear indication which one is 4k and which is 1080.

yes I know how to determine that, but if the ‘design’ is to be able to choose a different quality, then the user experience is lacking clarity.

That’s a known shortcoming.
