And most important why is PMP not using the local PMS?
We are having trouble getting the LG TV app to start , it is on the same LAN as the the PMS.
Seems like a critical point of failure.
Could someone please justify the design decision of not allowing me to get into the server configs of my OWN MACHINE, LOCALLY, without your authentication servers working?
Hopefully it’ll be back up and running soon. Critical Error likely.
Plex is not reachable.
Make sure your server has an internet connection and any firewalls or other programs are set to allow access.
Obviously their centralized authentication servers are down.
It shouldn’t be necessary. It obviously IS necessary, but why are our locally hosted servers connected to local clients requiring a centralized authentication system?
Because it’s all tied to sharing the sever with external users. Plex should provide an option during install to allow external users to be disabled. A entirely local only install option. It would likely remove some functionality, but I’m sure there are people who would prefer it.

Why is PMP still giving issues then?
This is exactly why I am unhappy with the current local client / server implementation. This has happened twice this year and will most likely happen again.
How about failing gracefully and falling back to only allowing local connections?
Are we likely to get an RFO ?
