DOWN: "All connections to plex.tv failed" (hosted)

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: 3.85.1 (hosted)

Anyone else seeing lots of errors and extreme slow plexweb (hosted) ? My dev console is full of errors like “All connections to plex.tv failed”. My iPad can’t show/render any podcasts. My QNAP where PMS is hosted, shows CPU spikes (transcoder etc) even tho there is no users.

Looks like there are no connection to plex.tv all … no changes on my part (wifi, router etc) …

EDIT #1: Executing testServerConnection ???
EDIT #2: https://plex.tv/monitoring/health is very slow at my end (which is one of the first requests on load). Which is kinda “funny”, that a health check is slow …
EDIT #3: Health check returns " 502 Bad Gateway" and " 504 Gateway Time-out" now …
EDIT #4: Maybe https://plex.tv should be added to https://status.plex.tv

Yes, seeing exact same things with local plex server access (logged in to plex) - slow response, console errors, etc. Got on here hoping I wasn’t the only one

We are seeing 504 and 502 bad gateway for https://plex.tv/user/

The knockon effect is the LG TV app is failing to start and connect to local LAN server with a white screen showing 504 bad gateway.

Location : UK

Edit : Finally got the LG app to start and have manually added the LAN server - hopefully this will help if plex.tv is unavailable.

+1 slow response, timeouts etc Ridiculous that this is even affecting local playback. Why the hell do plex insist on our serrvers talking to theirs before I can watch something in my own home?

This is currently under investigation.

Cheers for the update !

Any chance updates could go on Twitter or somewhere OOB ? I couldn’t login to the forum to ask the status due to the 502 gateway error.

Keep up the good work !

Edit : DOH , just seen the status page!

Issue started about 2 hours ago for me. I was able to authenticate but not use my pin for shared users. Now https://app.plex.tv/desktop takes a long time to display users and then nothing works.

https://status.plex.tv/ shows everything is working fine. Maybe some effort to show end user experience would be beneficial.

I’m not sure this model works where there is so much dependence on a remote site…

This brings up an interesting thought…

What would happen if Plex TV stopped, ie shutdown…

Nothing, because I’d still have my Emby server that would keep chugging along.

Yup, I’m having problems too. On my LGTV Plex app the dashboard just says the error “There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems”
