Look for the updates folder in the plex directory. At least that’s how it is on Windows machines. All old updates are held there.

PMS on Synology doesn’t keep it’s older versions.

There’s a third-party archive of older versions of the Synology package here:

You can’t install an older version, though. You’ll need to uninstall the current version then install the older version you require. Don’t worry, your media and settings should survive this process, but please do your best to have a backup just in case! I’ve done this many, many times and not suffered any data loss, but ymmv.

to be fair Plex will be aware of this I think and next month another update will fix this so I will hang on

Before you go rolling back, what’s the problem?

no avi files will playback

DEBUG, not VERBOSE, log files please?

not giving out log files sorry

Loads of people have threads up regarding this issue

Check your PM. You may attach your logs there.

Can you link to these other threads regarding this issue?
I monitor Linux and Synology. I have no such reports.

similair thread here

thank you. Now I understand why I hadn’t seen them.

Being tagged server-windows and about players , the forum does not notify me. I monitor server-linux , server-synology, and server-qnap. I am the backend Linux guy who also does the packaging development. (the installers you see)

I have sent a PM through which Logs.ZIP may be sent. Upon completion and closure of our PM, your submitted logs are erased.

Will this suffice to protect your privacy?

@gary_parker there is no link where you said ā€œpackage hereā€. My Synology with Plex is all but useless with the latest version on my LG SmartTV.

Interesting, some[one|thing] appears to have removed my link. Try this:
https://luenepiet.de/public/Synology/Plex%20(Server)/Intel%20-%2064-bit/

Nah, I’ve posted that link all over these forums in the past and it’s never disappeared. Ah well, it’s back in this thread now ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

weird, definitely works! about to try an older version so I can use WebOS again. thank you for circling back.
