Heading pretty much confirms it. Been a Plex user with Plex pass for years, Trying to now use the download option as Sync is no more. All files just get the error “There was an error downloading the file. Swipe to remove or tap to retry”.
I’ve been using the new Downloads feature on Plex since it launched and it’s worked great for me.
However tonight I can’t download a couple of UFC events but a TV show I’ve got is still working fine. Error downloading this item is the response received.
I’m having the same issue. Downloads worked fine until about 2 months ago.
I’ve checked the logs and there doesn’t seem to be any clue as to what is going wrong.
It’s happening on my Chromebook and my phone (android).
Looks like no-one from Plex wants to comment. Just to clarify I am running Version 1.26.0.5715 on a Netgear ReadyNAS and the latest Android version from the Play Store. (9.1.0.32210). As I am looking to watch content on Planes / London Underground there is no option to stream I have to download content.
I am trying to prepare my daughters’ tablets for a trip and want to download a couple of shows/movies on their Android tablet SD cards.
However, I am gettig the same error. I am using Plex Media Server 1.26.0.5715 on a Synology NAS and the latest Android app at the time of this posting.
Same problem here. Since the “use new download” checkbox is gone not a single download is possible.
Big, small, long, short, hd, sd, whatever, everything fails with this message mentioned above.
No way to use any music or video “to go” anymore.
